Matthew R. Torres, MD, DDS

Dr. Matthew Torres is a Texas native and spent his childhood in Houston, TX. He spent his formative years in the Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle. He then completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and pursued a minor in Art History from Baylor University in 2010. From there he went on to UT Southwestern for medical school where he met a group of oral maxillofacial surgery residents. It was at this point he decided to alter his career path and pursue OMFS training. He completed medical school and a year of general surgery residency. He was the vice-President of his class at University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine where he completed his dental degree. After this, Dr. Torres returned to Houston, TX for his OMFS residency where he met his wife.

Dr. Matthew Torres is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His practice consists of all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, including full-arch (All-on-4), bone grafting, reconstructive jaw surgery, and surgical pathology. He maintains staff privileges in the Methodist Hospital System.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Torres’ interests include cooking, art, and film. He enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking, camping or a trip to the beach. He and his wife, Karen, have a one-year-old daughter and are expecting a son soon. He spends his weekends chasing around a toddler and enjoying time with his family.
