Meet Dr. Rominger

James W. Rominger, DDS, MDA graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Rominger went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1986 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1991, both at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). His post-graduate training includes a Fellowship in Anesthesiology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas in 1987, and a General Surgery Internship at UTHSCSA in 1992. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UTHSCSA in 1993.

He is a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1995, and a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration. In addition to national organizations, he is an active member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He has authored and co-authored several clinical publications. Dr. Rominger’s practice encompasses all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implant surgery, especially full-arch (All-on-4) implant procedures, reconstructive jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and surgical pathology. He maintains staff privileges in the Methodist Hospital System, including Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in the South Texas Medical Center and The Stone Oak Methodist Hospital. He has been in private practice in San Antonio since 1993. Outside of the office, Dr. Rominger loves the outdoors, exercising, and chasing his eight children and almost 8 grandchildren (so far) with his wife Elva.
